Talk about a 5 star cottage. This is it! So many places never match the pictures or description given of them. This cottage not only meets those descriptions and pictures but exceeds them. Don't even think about it, just rent this cottage. You won't be disappointed. Thank you very much Lisa.

I can't even put to words how quaint and lovely this Retreat House is. Every window has an amazing view. When we were there the weather was rainy but it didn't keep us from adventuring. We took day trips all around Scotland and then nestled in to the cosy cottage at night with a fire, wine and dessert. We are from Colorado, USA and had such an easy time booking with Lisa. She is very helpful and gives you so much good information. Lisa greeted us upon arrival and even let us pick veggies from their garden just down the road. I would highly recommend the Retreat house whether you are wanting to stay inside or adventure outside, it’s a perfect house.

We spent a lovely week at The Retreat at Trinity Gask. We had high expectations as the photographs looked fabulous and we were not disappointed. Fantastic attention to detail meant that we had everything we needed and the extra touches were very much appreciated. The cottage was very clean and remote enough that the views were spectacular but not so remote you felt isolated. A very handy binder had excellent recommendations for daytrips and places to eat both locally and a little further afield.

We love, love LOVE The Retreat. We have stayed in many lovely holiday cottages over the years, but this is far and away the best, which is why we have now returned 6 times and are already planning next year's stay! The cottage feels light, airy and spacious during the day and cosy, warm and comfy in the evenings. It is in an incredibly beautiful and peaceful location, yet only a short, easy drive from a lovely little town and some really excellent restaurants. There is also tons to see and do in the surrounding area, with or without children, although we often struggle to leave the peace of the cottage! The cottage is spotless, luxurious and really well equipped with everything you could need for your stay and all the thoughtful extra touches, fresh flowers, breakfast stuffs in the fridge etc etc, really make a difference. Jamie and Lisa are brilliant hosts, always willing to help out with questions or recommendations, and Pam, the housekeeper, is also really helpful and a firm favourite with our small boys! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Lovely cottage, away from all the hustle and bustle. Perched on top of a hill in the middle of unrestricted 360 degree views of the mountains, forests and farmland. Deer, Hares, Pheasant and Buzzards each morning.. Well maintained gardens and house...quite stunning. Lovely presented interior décor, the feel is bright and airy. The house is immaculate and everything is provided to enhance the experience with lovely crisp white cotton bedding, heated wooden floors and we loved the open fire. Lisa welcomed us on arrival and helped us settle in and get our bearings. We also met Jamie who advised us on fishing on the river.. Great people and very welcoming. We spent every day from dawn to dusk exploring the delights of Perthshire and beyond - beautiful. Would we come again...try and stop us..!!

We booked the Retreat as an 'end of term' de-stress and we couldn't have asked for a more appropriate cottage than the Retreat! The views (from every window) were just spectacular and although they made us feel the remoteness we wanted, the cottage is not too far from Auchterarder where there are some lovely little shops and eateries. Being able to sit in bed with a morning cup of tea watching deer graze and herons fly by is pretty special! The cottage was beautifully clean (even by my standards - I'm pretty OCD with cleaning!!!) and so comfortable. The children loved the gardens, the tennis court and visiting the horse at the end of the track. It was wonderful to be able to throw on some walking shoes and have walks on our doorstep. We received a warm welcome with a tea tray set out for us along with hot cross buns and Easter chocolate for the children. Now that we are back, we are genuinely 'missing' the peace and quiet that the cottage gave us and will be looking to book again. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world.
