Directions & Location

The Retreat Cottages by Auchterader are ideally set in the heart of Perthshire countryside only minutes from Gleneagles in Auchterader.  It's an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports and 30 minutes from Dundee. The nearest railway station at Gleneagles is 5 miles away and the city of Perth is a 15 mins drive.

Getting to The Retreat

For those with SAT/NAV the postcode of The Retreat is PH3 1LG

 

  • From PERTH take the A9 SOUTH (Auchterarder/Stirling/ Glasgow) for approx 2 miles

 

  • Turn RIGHT (Kinkell Bridge)  across dual carriageway

 

  • Continue on this unclassified Kinkell Bridge Road for approx 6 miles, do not turn off this road

 

  • When you reach the sign for TRINITY GASK CHURCH/MADDERTY  turn RIGHT

 

  • Follow this road for ¼ mile, passing the church and manse on the right. Opposite on the left you will see Kirkton, a long stone house with a steading and a tall brick chimney behind

 

  • Immediately after these buildings turn LEFT 

 

  • Continue round buildings, veering right, away from Kirkton Follow the track for approx ¼ mile. ​You are now at the grounds of The Retreat.

Getting to The Woodland Retreat

For those with SAT/NAV the postcode of The Woodland Retreat is PH3 1JB

 

  • From PERTH take the A9 SOUTH (Auchterarder/Stirling/ Glasgow) for approx 2 miles

 

  • Turn RIGHT (Kinkell Bridge)  across dual carriageway

 

  • Continue on this unclassified Kinkell Bridge Road for approx 6 miles, do not turn off this road

 

  • You will pass through a crossroads in woods and then go round a sharp Z bend

 

  • Follow this road for a further ¼ mile, passing the farm entrance for Mill of Gask on the left.

 

  • Indicate right and in 30 metres take the track on the right. You will drive down the side of a beech hedge and reach a Georgian cottage set back from the road. You are now in the grounds of The Woodland Retreat.
