The Retreat Cottages

Johnny Roberts manages the family-owned Retreat Cottages with his father, Jamie, and 3 sisters. Johnny lives on the estate and works alongside Jamie, who farms the surrounding agricultural land and manages the fishing and the woodland areas. There are two holiday cottages on the estate; both properties are 5-star, award-winning and top-rated in the area. As 4th-generation farmers, the Roberts family wanted to give other visitors, both from the UK and overseas, the opportunity to experience this stunning pocket of rural Scotland that they call home – somewhere guests could come to relax, unwind and immerse themselves in nature. 

The family used to run a tourism business out of the five-star Gleneagles Hotel, so they are very familiar with the local area. Both Retreat Cottages have a wealth of information for visitors to help plan their excursions as well as recommendations for dining in the area.

Johnny and Jamie are sociable, well travelled, and enjoy meeting the many visitors who come from all over the world to visit the Retreat Cottages in this very special area of rural Pertshire.
